The TPSM33625RDNR is a 2.5A, 36V-input synchronous DC/DC step-down power supply module that incorporates a Flip-Chip On Lead (FCOL) package, power MOSFET, integrated inductor, and start-up capacitor in a compact and easy-to-use 3.5mm × 4.5mm × 2mm, 11-pin QFN package. The small HotRod™ QFN package technology improves thermal performance and ensures operation at high ambient temperatures. In addition, the device offers excellent EMI performance when used with the spread spectrum feature. The device can be configured and operated with a 1V to 15V output via a feedback divider.
The TPSM33625RDNR is designed to meet the low standby power requirements of normally open industrial applications. Auto mode allows frequency foldback for light load operation, achieving 1.5µA no-load current consumption and high light load efficiency at an input voltage (V IN) of 13.5V. Seamless switching between PWM and PFM modes and low MOSFET on-resistance ensures excellent efficiency across the entire load range.
The TPSM33625RDNR features a peak current mode architecture with internal compensation to maintain stable operation and ultra-small input capacitance, and DRSS to reduce the external components of the input EMI filter. The RT pin type can be used to synchronise or set the frequency in the 200kHz to 2.2MHz range to avoid noise sensitive bands.
