The MAX5995BATE provides a complete interface for powered devices (PDs) to comply with the IEEE® 802.3af/at/bt standard in Power over Ethernet (PoE) systems. These devices provide PDs with detection signatures, classification signatures, and integrated isolated power switches with start-up inrush current control. During startup, the devices limit the current to a current limit of 135mA (typical) before switching to a higher current limit The devices feature multi-event classification, intelligent MPS, automatic classification, and input UVLO with wide hysteresis and long attenuation.
