The NCV70514 is a microstepper motor driver for bipolar stepper motors. The chip is connected to an external microcontroller through an I/O pin and SPI interface. The device contains a current conversion meter and performs the next microstep based on the clock signal on the "NXT" input pin and the state of the "DIR" (= direction) register or input pin. If a stall, electrical error, undervoltage, or junction temperature rise is detected, the chip sends an error message. It uses a proprietary PWM algorithm for reliable current control.
