The MAX20057ATIG/VY is a highly integrated automotive triple output PMIC consisting of two synchronous buck converters and asynchronous boost controllers available in 2.1MHz and 400kHz. The boost controller can be used to power the buck converter and keep it regulated during cold start operation down to 2.1kHz. Regulated during cold start operation down to 2V battery input. The two high-voltage synchronous buck converters operate 180° out of phase. The ICs operate with input voltages from 3.5V to 36V and can operate at 95% duty cycle under power-down conditions. It is suitable for medium- to high-power applications that require operation over a wide input voltage range, such as applications with medium- to high-power requirements over a wide input voltage range, such as in automotive cold-start or engine stop-start conditions. The high switching frequency of up to 2.1MHz allows the use of small external components, reduces output ripple and ensures that there is no AM band interference. The switching frequency is fixed at 400kHz or 2.1MHz. The FSYNC input programmable feature enables three performance-optimised modes: strong frequency-setting operation, frequency-hopping mode with ultra-low quiescent current, and phase-locked mode synchronised with an external clock. The spread spectrum option minimises EMI interference.
