The AD7927WYRUZ is a 12-bit, high-speed, low-power, 8-channel, successive-approximation ADC with a maximum throughput of 200 kSPS from a single 2.7 V to 5.25 V supply.The device has a built-in low-noise, wide-bandwidth sample-and-hold amplifier that handles input frequencies above 8 MHz.
The conversion process and the data acquisition process are controlled via CS and a serial clock signal, thus setting the stage for easy interfacing of the device with a microprocessor or DSP. The input signal is sampled on the falling edge of CS and the conversion is initiated here at the same time. The device has no pipeline delay.
The AD7927 uses advanced design techniques to achieve very low power consumption at the highest throughput. At maximum throughput, the AD7927 consumes a maximum of 1.2 mA with a 3 V supply and 1.5 mA with a 5 V supply.
The analogue input range of the device can be selected between 0 V to REFIN or 0 V to 2 × REFIN by configuring the control registers with standard binary or binary-complement output encoding.The AD7927 has eight single-ended analogue inputs with channel sequencers, and the order of the channel conversions can be selected by pre-programming.
The conversion time of the AD7927 is dependent on the SCLK frequency, which is also used as the master clock for conversion control, and can be reduced to 800 ns at an SCLK frequency of 20 MHz.
