The LT5538IDD is a monolithic logarithmic RF power detector operating from 40MHz to 3800MHz, capable of measuring RF signals over a very wide dynamic range (from -75dBm to 10dBm). The RF signal, expressed in equivalent decibel scale values, is precisely converted into a DC voltage labelled on a linear scale. By employing cascaded RF limiters and RF detectors to measure RF signals, a wide linear dynamic range is achieved. Their outputs are summed to produce an accurate linear DC voltage proportional to the input RF signal (in dB). The LT5538IDD provides exceptional temperature stability across the 40MHz to 3.8GHz frequency range (fluctuations within ±1dB across the entire temperature range). The output is buffered using a low-impedance driver.
