The TAS6424LQDKQRQ1 device is a 4-channel digital input Class D audio amplifier designed specifically for car audio head units and external amplifier modules. Under a 14.4V power supply voltage, when the load is 4Ω and THD+N is 10%, the device can provide 27W of output power across all four channels; when the load is 2Ω and THD+N is 10%, the device can deliver 27W of output power. Compared to traditional linear amplifier solutions, D-class topology technology significantly improves device efficiency. The output switching frequency can be set above the amplitude modulation (AM) band to eliminate AM band interference and reduce output filtering requirements and costs; it can also be set below the AM band to optimise device efficiency.
The wide power supply voltage range of 4.5V to 18V helps minimise audio distortion in start-stop applications.
The TAS6424LQDKQRQ1 integrates all the features required for demanding OEM applications. The device includes built-in load diagnostic functionality to detect and diagnose misconnected outputs, as well as detect AC-coupled high-frequency speakers, helping to reduce test time during manufacturing.
The TAS6424LQDKQRQ1 is available in a 56-pin HTSSOP PowerPAD™ package with an exposed thermal pad facing upward.
