The TPA3111D1PWPR device is a 10 W, high-efficiency Class-D audio power amplifier designed to drive bridged speakers. Advanced electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression technology enables the use of inexpensive ferrite bead filters at the output while meeting electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements. The SpeakerGuard speaker protection system includes an adjustable power limiter and a DC detection circuit. The adjustable power limiter allows users to set a virtual voltage rail below the chip's supply voltage to limit the current flowing through the speaker. The DC detection circuit measures the frequency and amplitude of the PWM signal and shuts down the output stage if the input capacitor is damaged or there is a short circuit at the input.

The TPA3111D1PWPR can drive mono speakers as low as 4Ω. The TPA3111D1PWPR's high efficiency (>90%) eliminates the need for an external heat sink when playing music.

The output is fully protected against short circuits to ground, VCC, and between outputs. Short-circuit protection and thermal protection features include automatic recovery functionality.
