The LTC3877EUK is a VID programmable, constant-frequency current-mode step-down controller that adopts an advanced and proprietary architecture. This new architecture can improve the signal-to-noise ratio of the current detection signal, thus allowing the use of very low DC resistance power inductors to maximize efficiency in high-current applications. This feature also significantly reduces the current detection error, thereby greatly improving the current sharing in multiphase low DCR applications. In addition, the LTC3877EUK achieves a minimum conduction time of only 40ns, thus allowing for the use of high switching frequencies under high step-down ratio conditions.
