The SE5004L-R is a 5GHz power amplifier specifically designed for wireless local area network applications, providing high linear power. The SE5004L-R integrates a power detector to enable closed-loop monitoring and control of output power.

SE5004L-R achieves simplified design through high integration, reducing time-to-market and improving production yield of application circuit boards. The device integrates input matching, interstage matching, output matching, a power detector with a 15dB dynamic range, and a 3.8GHz notch filter. Only six external decoupling capacitors are required for the design.

For wireless local area network applications, the device complies with IEEE 802.11a and 802.11n standards and provides approximately 26dBm of linear output power at 5V supply voltage.  

The SE5004L-R integrates a temperature-compensated bias voltage generator. The power amplifier can be enabled or disabled by applying a 2.85V reference voltage to VREF.
