Product Description

The MAX6749KA is a low-power, microprocessor (µP) monitoring circuit designed to monitor single- or dual-supply system voltages ranging from 1.575V to 5V, providing stable reset output and watchdog functionality. These devices trigger a reset when the VCC supply voltage or RESET IN drops below the reset threshold or when the manual reset is pulled low. After VCC and RESET IN rise above the reset threshold, the reset signal remains active for one reset timeout cycle. The reset function is not affected by power supply transients.


The MAX6749KA features a factory-preset reset threshold with ±2% accuracy, ranging from 1.575V to 5.0V in 100mV increments.


The reset and watchdog delays can be adjusted via external capacitors. The MAX6749KA includes a watchdog select input pin that can extend the watchdog timeout period by up to 128 times.


The MAX6749KA offers push-pull or open-drain/RESET output. The MAX6749KA is available in an 8-pin SOT23 package and operates within the automotive temperature range (-40°C to +125°C).
