The DS90UB914ATRHSRQ1 device provides an FPD-Link III interface with a high-speed forward channel and a bidirectional control channel for data transmission over a single coaxial cable or differential pair.The DS90UB914ATRHSRQ1 device includes differential signalling on both the high-speed forward channel and bidirectional control channel data paths. The deserialiser targets the connection of the imager to the video processor in the electronic control unit (ECU). It is ideally suited to drive video data requiring up to 12-bit pixel depth, two sync signals, and a bidirectional control channel bus.

The deserialiser features a multiplexer that selects between two input imagers, activating one at a time. The main video transport converts 10-bit or 12-bit data into a single high-speed serial stream, while a separate low-latency bi-directional control channel transport receives control information from the I2C port, independent of the video fade period.
