The MAX9295DGTM/V converts single- or dual-port MIPI CSI-2 data streams to GMSL2™ or GMSL1™ while simultaneously transmitting and receiving control-channel data, enabling full-duplex, single-wire transmission of forward video and bi-directional control data over cables longer than 15m. In GMSL2 mode, the device operates at 3Gbps or 6Gbps (fixed) in the forward direction and 187.5Mbps in the reverse direction. In GMSL1 mode, the MAX9295DGTM/V can be paired with a first-generation 3.12Gbps or 1.5Gbps GMSL1 deserialiser, or a GMSL2 deserialiser configured for GMSL1 mode, operating at speeds of up to 1Gbps. The device can be used with first generation 3.12Gbps or 1.5Gbps GMSL1 deserialisers or with GMSL2 deserialisers configured in GMSL1 mode, operating at speeds up to 4.5Gbps. The cable can be coaxial or shielded twisted pair (STP).
