The SPC564L60L5CCFQY microcontroller is a system-on-chip device based on Power Architecture technology with enhancements that improve the suitability of the architecture for embedded applications, including additional instruction support for Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and integration of technologies such as an Enhanced Time Processor Unit, Enhanced Queue Analogue-to-Digital Converters, Controller Local Area Network and enhanced modular input/output system.

The SPC564Lx family of 32-bit microcontrollers is the latest in integrated automotive application controllers. It is part of an expanding family of automotive-specific products designed for electro-hydraulic power steering (EHPS), electric power steering (EPS) and airbag applications. the SPC564Lx family of automotive controllers features an advanced and cost-effective main processor core that is compliant with the Power Architecture Embedded Class standard. Running at up to 120 MHz, it provides high-performance processing and is optimised for low power consumption. It takes full advantage of the development infrastructure available for today's Power Architecture devices and supports software drivers, operating systems, and configuration code to assist in user implementation.
