The ADF4150HVBCPZ is a 4.4 GHz fractional N division or integer N division frequency synthesizer with an integrated high voltage charge pump. This frequency synthesizer can be used to directly drive an external wideband VCO, allowing for higher tuned voltages without the need for an op-AMP, which simplifies the design and reduces costs while improving phase noise, as active filter topologies tend to reduce phase noise performance compared to passive filters.
