The IR3550MTRPBF integrated PowIRstage® is a synchronous buck gate driver co-packaged with a control MOSFET and a synchronous MOSFET with integrated Schottky diode. It is internally optimised for PCB layout, heat transfer and driver/MOSFET timing. The custom-designed gate driver and MOSFET combination achieves higher efficiency at lower output voltages to meet the requirements of cutting-edge CPU, GPU, and DDR memory designs.

A switching frequency of up to 1.0MHz enables high performance transient response, resulting in miniaturisation of the output inductor and input and output capacitors while maintaining industry-leading efficiency.The IR3550's ultra-high efficiency enables minimal size and lower solution cost.The IR3550 PCB footprint is compatible with the IR3551 (50A) and IR3553 (40A).

The integrated current-sense amplifier achieves excellent current-sense accuracy and signal-to-noise ratio compared to best-in-class controllers based on inductor DCR detection methods.

The IR3550MTRPBF's integrated Body-Braking® feature reduces output capacitors, and the IR3550's synchronous diode emulation mode reduces the burden of zero-current sensing on the PWM controller and improves the system's light-load efficiency.

The IR3550MTRPBF is optimised for powering CPU cores in server applications, and the IR3550 meets the stringent requirements of the server market, making it ideal for powering GPU and DDR memory designs, as well as other high-current applications.
