The LT8390 controller is a 4-switch, synchronous buck-boost controller. The controller can regulate the output voltage, input or output current when the input voltage is above, below or equal to the output voltage. A peak-buck/peak-boost current-mode control scheme enables adjustable and synchronisable fixed frequency operation from 150kHz to 650kHz. The control scheme also supports internal ±15% delta spread modulation for low EMI.

With an input voltage range of 4V to 60V, output voltage capability from 0V to 60V and seamless low noise transitions between operating zones, the LT8390 controller is ideally suited for use in automotive, industrial, telecoms and battery-powered systems for voltage regulator, battery and supercapacitor charger applications.
