The LT3750AEMS is a flyback converter designed for fast charging of large capacitors to a user adjustable target voltage. The patented boundary-mode control circuit* minimises conversion losses and reduces transformer size. The output voltage can be easily adjusted using the transformer turns ratio and two external resistors*. A low current detection of 78mV accurately limits peak switching currents and also helps to achieve greater efficiency. With a wide input voltage range, the LT3750 is capable of operating with a wide range of power supplies. Typical applications can charge a 100µF capacitor to 300V in less than 300ms.
The CHARGE pin provides the user with full control of the LT3750. The DONE pin will signal when the capacitor has reached its programmed value and the device stops charging operation.
