The LT3755JMSE-2 is a DC/DC controller designed to act as a constant current source for driving high current LEDs. They drive a low-end external N-channel power MOSFET from an internally regulated 7.15 V supply. The fixed frequency, current mode architecture enables stable operation over a wide range of supply and output voltages. A voltage FB pin referenced to ground is used as an input to multiple LED protection circuits and also allows the converter to act as a constant voltage source. A frequency regulation pin allows the user to set the frequency in the range of 100kHz to 1MHz, with the aim of optimising efficiency, performance or external component size.
