3.1GHz Differential Clock Buffer/Level Shifter with 8 Configurable Outputs

Product Description

The LMK00308SQ is a 3GHz, 8-output differential fanout buffer. This buffer is used for high-frequency, low-jitter clock/data distribution and level translation. The input clock can be selected from two general-purpose inputs or one crystal input. The selected input clock is distributed to two groups of four differential outputs and one LVCMOS output. The two differential output groups can be independently configured as LVPECL, LVDS or HCSL drivers, or disabled. The LVCMOS outputs have synchronisation enable inputs for short pulse free operation when enabled or disabled. The LMK00308 operates from a 3.3V core supply and three independent 3.3V/2.5V output supplies.


The LMK00308SQ offers high performance, versatility, and power efficiency, making it ideal for replacing fixed output buffer devices while increasing the timing margin in the system.

3:1 Input Multiplexer

Two general-purpose inputs operate up to 3.1 GHz and accept low-voltage positive emitter coupled logic (LVPECL), low-voltage differential signalling (LVDS), current-mode logic (CML), short truncation series termination logic (SSTL), high-speed transceiver logic (HSTL), host clock signal level (HCSL), or single-ended clocks.

One crystal input accepts 10 to 40MHz crystals or single-ended enable clocks

2 groups of 4 differential outputs each

LVPECL, LVDS, HCSL, or High Impedance (Hi-Z) (selectable per bank)
