TPS22917 5.5V, 2A, 80mΩ Ultra-Low Leakage Load Switch

Product Description

The TPS22917 single-channel load switch uses a low leakage P-channel MOSFET to achieve minimal power losses. The advanced gating design supports operating voltages as low as 1V with minimal increased on-resistance and power losses. The rise and fall times can be independently adjusted using external components for system level optimisation. Inrush current can be managed by adjusting the timing capacitor (CT) and turn-on time without adding unnecessary system delay. The output discharge resistor (QOD) can be used to regulate the output fall time. Connect the QOD pin directly to the output for the fastest fall time, or leave it open for the slowest fall time.


The switch on state is controlled by a digital input which can be directly connected to the low voltage control signal. On first power-up, the device uses a smart pull-down resistor to keep the ON pin unhung until system sequencing is complete. Once the ON pin is deliberately driven high (≥VIH), the smart pull-down resistor (RPD) is disconnected to prevent unnecessary power loss.
