The ADBMS2950BCCSZ is a battery pack monitor that measures the current flowing into and out of the pack by detecting the voltage drop across a shunt resistor with a very low offset.
The ADBMS2950BCCSZ also detects overcurrent conditions using a fast overcurrent ADC with a digital threshold comparator and transmits the results with low latency via a dedicated overcurrent alarm line.
The ADBMS2950BCCSZ has a total of 12 internally buffered, high-impedance inputs for measuring voltages from external sensors or resistive dividers to support measurement of pack voltage, temperature, HV-Link voltage, chassis isolation, and to monitor the status of contactors and fuses.
Six digital outputs (GPOs) supporting open-drain and push-pull can be used to control high-voltage transistors to disconnect external resistive dividers. The four GPIOs also support operation as I2C or SPI controller interfaces for addressing external EEPROMs or other serial peripherals.
