The MAX14918AATG is a quad 700mA low-end switch for industrial applications. The device features four 140mΩ (typical) on-resistance (RON) switches with integrated ±1.2kV/42Ω surge protection. Two or more outputs can be connected in parallel to provide higher load currents.

The maximum load current is actively limited and can be set between 100mA (typical) and 900mA (typical) via a resistor. For loads requiring high inrush currents, the MAX14918 and MAX14918A have an inrush mode that delivers twice the current within 10 ms (minimum) of switch-on.

The MAX14918AATG has an SPI interface to control multiple MAX14918 devices through a common daisy-chain interface for high-channel-count applications, minimising galvanically isolated channels. Serial data output (SDO) returns diagnostic results for each channel. Data corruption on the serial data input (SDI) is automatically detected and signalled on the SPIFLT output.
