The AD9209 is a 12-bit four-channel 4 GSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The ADC input has an on-chip wideband buffer with overload protection. The suite is designed to support applications where broadband signals up to 8 GHz can be directly sampled. On-chip low-phase-noise phase-locked loop (PLL) clock frequency synthesizers can be used to generate ADC sampling clocks, simplifying printed circuit board (PCB) distribution of high frequency clock signals. The clock output buffer can be used to transfer ADC sampling clocks to other kits.
