The MAX20095ATID/VY IC integrates a configurable constant-current/constant-voltage (CC/CV) battery charger and an efficient synchronous boost controller to power critical systems in the event of a mains power failure. In addition, diagnostic functions are provided to check the battery's health status (SOH) and IC functions. Charging thresholds and output voltages can be configured to support mainstream chemical composition batteries and multiple battery numbers. To support system integration, the IC provides an I2C slave interface, through which configuration and status registers can be accessed.
