The MP26124GR is a single-chip, DC/DC, step-down, switching charger for 4-cell Li-ion battery packs. The integrated high-side power MOSFET delivers up to 2A of charge current and features peak current mode control for fast loop response and easy compensation. A detection resistor is used to control the programmable charge current and precisely regulate the charge current and voltage. Other safety features include battery temperature monitoring and protection, charge status indication, and a programmable timer to stop the charge cycle when the timer expires.
