The ADUM2401BRWZ are 4-channel digital isolators based on Analog Devices' iCoupler® technology. These isolation elements combine high-speed CMOS and monolithic air-core transformer technology to provide excellent performance characteristics over alternatives such as optocoupler devices. By avoiding the use of LEDs and photodiodes, iCoupler devices eliminate the design challenges typically associated with optocouplers. Typical problems with optocouplers include uncertain current, uncertain current transfer ratio, nonlinear transfer function, and typical optocoupler issues such as temperature and lifetime effects.
