The ADS7142IRUGR is a stand-alone femtopower sensor monitor in a small form factor that is ideal for use in cost-sensitive designs. The device features efficient host sleep and wake-up, and consumes 900nW when autonomously monitoring signals.The ADS7142 can implement event-induced interrupts based on the channel using a digital window comparator with programmable high- and low-thresholds, hysteresis, and event counters. The sensor monitor includes a dual-channel analogue multiplexer in front of a successive approximation register analogue-to-digital converter (SAR ADC), followed by an internal data buffer for converting and capturing sensor data in a one-time mode. In-depth data analysis is enabled by a high-precision mode for 16-bit accuracy, a data buffer for troubleshooting, and a one-time mode for fast data capture.
The ADS7142IRUGR has a wide operating voltage range of 1.65V to 3.6V and is available in a 10-pin QFN package. The device's compact size and low power consumption make it ideal for space-constrained and/or battery-powered applications.
