The BQ7721612PWR provides a variety of voltage and temperature monitoring functions, including overvoltage (OVP), undervoltage (UVP), open circuit (OW), and overtemperature (OT) protection for lithium-ion battery pack systems. Each battery can be independently monitored for overvoltage, undervoltage, and open-circuit conditions. By adding an external NTC thermistor, the device can detect overheating conditions. An internal delay timer is activated when an overvoltage, undervoltage, open circuit, or overheat condition is detected. When the delay timer expires, the corresponding output is triggered to enter its operating state (high or low depending on the configuration).
