The ADBMS2950WCCSZ is a battery pack monitor, a link monitor for electric and hybrid vehicles and other current or voltage detection applications. By detecting the voltage drop on a shunt resistor with very low offset, the ADBMS2950 measures the current flowing into and out of the battery pack.

The ADBMS2950 also detects overcurrent conditions using a fast overcurrent ADC with a digital threshold comparator and transmits detection results with low latency via a dedicated overcurrent alert line.

The device has 12 internally buffered high-impedance inputs to measure voltage from external sensors or resistance dividers, enabling measurement of battery pack voltage, temperature, HV-Link voltage, case isolation, and monitoring of contactor and fuse status.

Six digital outputs (Gpos) supporting leak-open and push-pull can be used to control the high voltage transistor, thereby disconnecting the external resistance divider. The four GPIOs also support operation as I2C or SPI controller interfaces to address external EEPROM or other serial peripherals.
