The MAX77986BEFD is a high performance, high input range, 3.5/5.5A fast charger with Smart Power SelectorTM. The IC operates in reverse boost mode without the need for an additional inductor, allowing the battery to share its power supply through the charging port with a programmable voltage range of 5 V to 12 V. The device features a fully integrated low-loss power switch that provides a small footprint solution and high efficiency, even at high input voltages and high charging currents.
