The MAX9217ETM+ digital video parallel/serial converter converts 27-bit parallel data to serial data. 18-bit video data and 9-bit control data are encoded and multiplexed on the serial interface to reduce the serial data rate. A data enable input determines when the video or control data begins parallel/serial conversion.ESD tolerances are in accordance with ISO 10605 specifications for ±10kV contact discharge and ±30kV air gap discharge.
