The MAX38647BANA is an ultra-low IQ (440nA) buck converter that converts an input voltage of 1.8V to 5.5V to an output voltage of 0.5V to 1.8V. Four different output voltages can be programmed through a single external resistor (RSEL) on the RSEL pin, as shown in Table 1 of the datasheet. Using the two voltage selection pins VSEL1 and VSEL2, the output voltage can be dynamically changed between the four selected output voltages by pulling them high or low. The four output voltages are determined during startup. The switching of the output voltage from low to high is controlled by open-loop current limiting. Switching from high to low voltage is entirely load dependent.
