The MAX15005CAUE/V high-performance current-mode PWM controller operates over a voltage range of 4.5V to 40V (load dump). The input voltage can be less than 4.5V after startup if IN is steered to the boost output voltage. the controller integrates all the building blocks needed to implement a fixed-frequency isolated/non-isolated power supply. Universal boost, flyback, forward, and SEPIC converters can be built around. The current mode control architecture provides excellent line transient response and cycle-by-cycle current limiting while simplifying frequency compensation. Programmable slope compensation further simplifies design. Fast 60ns current limit response time, low 300mV current limit. This makes the controller suitable for high efficiency, high frequency DC-DC converters, and high frequency DC-DC converters.
