The DRV8899QWRGERQ1 is a fully integrated stepper motor driver that supports up to 1A full-scale current with internal microstepping indexer, smart tuned attenuation technology, advanced stall detection algorithms and integrated current sensing. Featuring a simple step/direction control interface to manage direction and step rate, it supports up to 1/256 levels of microstepping for smooth motion trajectories. The integrated current sensing feature eliminates the need for two external resistors, saving board space and cost.The DRV8899QWRGERQ1 offers eight attenuation mode options including: Smart Tuning, Slow, and Hybrid attenuation options. Smart tuning technology automatically adjusts for optimal current regulation performance and compensates for any motor variations and aging effects. The device also includes an integrated torque DAC that allows the controller to adjust the output current via SPI without adjusting the VREF voltage reference. The device features an nSLEEP pin that provides a low power sleep mode for very low standby current. The device features full-duplex, 4-wire synchronous SPI communications and allows up to 63 devices to be daisy-chained for configurability and detailed fault reporting.
