The MAX11190ATE is a 4-channel, dual, multiplexed, 12-bit, compact high-speed, low-power, successive approximation analogue-to-digital converter (ADC). This high-performance dual ADC includes high dynamic range sample-and-hold circuitry and a high-speed serial interface. The ADC supports full-scale inputs from 0V to reference voltage.
The device features two dual single-ended analogue inputs connected to the two ADC cores using 2:1 MUX. The device also provides a separate power input for data interface and a dedicated input for reference voltage.
The device is powered from a 2.2V to 3.6V supply and consumes only 10.5mW at 3Msps. The device offers a full shutdown mode and a fast wake-up feature to optimise power management, and features a high-speed three-wire serial interface. The three-wire serial interface connects directly to SPI, QSPI™ and MICROWIRE® devices without the need for external logic. Each of the two internal ADCs has a dedicated DOUTA/DOUTB for faster data communication.
The converter's simplicity and excellent dynamic performance, low voltage, low power consumption, and small package size make it ideal for synchronous data acquisition applications, as well as other applications requiring low power consumption and a small footprint.
The device is available in a 3mm x 3mm, 16-pin TQFN package with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
