The LTC4162EUFD-L40 is an advanced monolithic synchronous buck switch battery charger and PowerPath™ manager that seamlessly manages power distribution between input sources (such as wall adapters, backplanes, solar panels, etc.) and rechargeable lithium-ion/polymer batteries.

The LTC4162EUFD-L40 can charge lithium-ion battery packs consisting of 1 to 8 cells, with a charging current of up to 3.2A. The PowerPath topology decouples the output voltage from the battery, enabling portable devices to start up instantly even when the battery voltage is extremely low. The LTC4162EUFD-L40 is housed in a thermally enhanced 28-pin 4mm × 5mm × 0.75mm QFN surface-mount package.
