The 8P79818NLGI clock buffer uses 1 or 2 reference clocks, which are selected through pin or register selection and generate up to 8 outputs, which may be the same as the reference frequency or integer divider version.
The 8P79818NLGI supports two output groups, each with its own voltage divider and power supply. All the outputs in a group will generate the same output frequency, but each output can be independently controlled for output type, output enable or even off.
In addition, the 8P79818NLGI supports a serial port for configuring parameters at runtime. The serial port can be selected to use either the I2C or SPI protocol. After power-on, all outputs will appear in LVDS mode and can be programmed to other configurations through the serial port. The output can be enabled or disabled under the control of the OE input pin.
