Description Details: 

The ADS8920BRGER is a single-channel, high-precision, 16-bit successive approximation register (SAR)-based analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with an integrated reference buffer and an integrated low dropout voltage regulator (LDO). The ADS8920BRGER has an internal data parity function, which can be appended to the ADC data output. ADC data validation by the host using parity bits improves system reliability.
