MAX20333GENL is a programmable current-limiting switch with multiple features and operating modes ‌. It has an internal current-limiting function, which can prevent the host equipment from being damaged due to incorrect load conditions.

The MAX20333 series features three operating modes: Normal Mode (NM), High current Mode (HCM), and Low Power Mode (LPM). In NM, this device provides programmable current-limiting protection ranging from 0.2A to 4.75A. In the high current mode (HCM), the current-limiting threshold is multiplied by 2, and the internal upper limit is set at 5.5A. In Low Power consumption mode (LPM), the current consumption of this device is significantly reduced, with an on-resistance of 420mΩ (typical value), while still providing overcurrent protection.
