The TPS7A8400ARGRR is a low-noise, low-dropout linear regulator (LDO) that provides 3A of output current with a maximum dropout voltage of only 180mV. The device offers two output voltage ranges. The output voltage of the TPS7A8400A can be programmed via pins with a resolution of 50mV within the range of 0.8V to 3.95V, and can be adjusted via an external resistor divider within the range of 0.8V to 5.15V.

The TPS7A8400ARGRR combines low noise, high PSRR, and high output current capability, making it ideal for powering noise-sensitive components in high-speed communication, video, medical, or test and measurement applications. The TPS7A8400ARGRR offers high performance, suppressing phase noise and clock jitter generated by the power supply, making it ideal for powering high-performance serialisers and deserialisers (SerDes), analogue-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analogue converters (DACs), and RF components. The device offers high performance and an output capability exceeding 5V, making it particularly suitable for RF amplifiers.
