The UCC27712DR is a 620V high-side and low-side gate driver with 1.8A pull-current, 2.8A sink-current capability designed to drive power MOSFETs or IGBTs.
The recommended VDD operating voltage is 10V to 20V for IGBTs and 10V to 17V for power MOSFETs.
The UCC27712DR includes a protection function where the output is held low while the input remains open or when the minimum input pulse width specification is not met. An interlock and dead time function prevents both outputs from opening simultaneously. In addition, the device accepts a wide range of bias supplies and provides UVLO protection for the VDD and HB bias supplies.
Using TI's advanced high-voltage device technology, the device features powerful drivers with excellent noise and transient immunity, including large negative input voltage tolerance, high dV/dt tolerance, wide negative transient safe operating area (NTSOA) at the switch node, and interlocking.
The device contains a grounded reference channel (LO) and a hung channel (HO), which is dedicated to bootstrap or isolated power supply operation. The device features fast propagation delays and excellent delay matching between the two channels. On the UCC27712DR, each channel is controlled by its own input pins, HI and LI.
