The UCC27710DR is a 620V high-side and low-side gate driver with 0.5A pull-current and 1.0A sink-current capability, specifically designed for driving power MOSFETs or IGBTs.

For IGBTs, the recommended VDD operating voltage is 10V to 20V, and for MOSFETs, the recommended VDD operating voltage is 17V.

The UCC27710DR includes protection features such that, in this case, when the input remains open-circuited or when the minimum input pulse width specification is not met, the output remains low. Interlock and dead-time functions prevent both outputs from turning on simultaneously. Additionally, the device accepts a wide bias supply voltage range of 10V to 20V and provides UVLO protection for the VDD and HB bias supplies.

The device utilises TI's advanced high-voltage device technology, featuring a powerful driver with excellent noise and transient immunity, including a large input negative voltage tolerance, high dV/dt tolerance, a wide negative transient safe operating area (NTSOA) at the switch node, and interlocking.

The device includes a grounded reference channel (LO) and a floating channel (HO), the latter specifically designed for bootstrap or isolated power supply operation. The device features fast propagation delay characteristics and excellent delay matching between the two channels. On the UCC27710DR, each channel is controlled by its respective input pins HI and LI.
