The MAX20046GTC provides extremely high ESD and short-circuit protection for internal low-voltage USB data and USB power cables, ideal for use in car radios, navigation, connected products, and USB hubs. The device supports Hi-Speed USB (480Mbps), Full-Speed USB (12Mbps) and Low-Speed USB (1.5Mbps) operation.

The MAX20046GTC offers high ESD protection (±15kV air-gap discharge and ±8kV contact discharge) on the protection pin HVBUS, HVD+ and HVD- outputs.

The MAX20046GTC features a 500mΩ (max) USB power switch and two low resistance on resistance (RON), USB 2.0 data switches. The device also features an enable input, fault output, 10ms fault recovery time, 1ms overcurrent blocking time, and integrated overcurrent auto-retry.

The MAX20046GTC is available in a 12-pin, lead-free, TQFN-EP package and operates over the -40°C to +105°C temperature range.
