Overview:

The MAX22205AUU integrates a high-current 65V, 7.6AMAX bridge to drive either a brushed DC motor or a half-step motor.The MAX22205AUU has a precise optional current drive regulation (CDR) function that can be used to limit the start-up current of a brushed DC motor or to control the phase current of a stepper operation.

The MAX22205AUU also features overcurrent protection (OCP), thermal shutdown (TSD), and undervoltage protection (UVLO). An open-drain low active FAULT pin is activated each time a fault condition is detected. During thermal shutdown and undervoltage protection, all channels are disabled until normal operating conditions are restored.
