Product Description

The LM53600-Q1 and LM53601-Q1 synchronous buck regulator devices are optimised for automotive applications and can provide output voltages of 5V, 3.3V or adjustable output voltages.

The LM53600-Q1 and LM53601-Q1 devices can be regulated from 18V input to 3.3V output at a fixed frequency of 2.1MHz using advanced high-speed circuitry. Both devices feature an innovative architecture that provides a 3.3V regulated output at an input voltage of only 3.8V. Input voltages up to 36V and maximum transient voltages up to 42V are allowed, simplifying the design of input surge protection. The open-drain reset output features filtering and delayed release to provide proper system status indication. This feature eliminates the need for additional monitoring components, which saves cost and board space. Both devices can be switched seamlessly between PWM and PFM modes and have a quiescent current of only 23µA, ensuring high efficiency and excellent transient response under all load conditions. Few external components are required, so the PCB layout can be made even more compact. Although the LM53600-Q1 and LM53601-Q1 devices are Q1 class, both guarantee electrical characteristics over a junction temperature range of -40°C to 150°C.
