The MAX22211AUI is a two-channel 36V, 3.8A MAX H bridge. It can be used to drive two brushed DC motors or a single stepper motor. H-bridge FETs have a very low impedance and, as a result, drive efficiency is high and heat dissipation is minimal. The MAX22211AUI has a precise current drive regulation (CDR) function that can be used to limit the starting current of a brushed DC motor or to control the phase current of stepping operation.
The MAX22211AUI supports four different attenuation modes (slow attenuation, fast attenuation and two mixed attenuation modes). Lossless ICS eliminates the need to use bulky external power resistors for this function, providing significant space and power savings compared to mainstream applications that use external detection resistors.
