The F2800156QRHBRQ1 uses a 32-bit lock-step dual C28x CPU, making the device an ASIL Class B functional safety device without excessive software overhead. The real-time control subsystem is based on TI's 32-bit C28x DSP core and delivers 120MHz signal processing performance for floating-point or fixed-point code running from on-chip flash or SRAM. The Trigonometric Accelerator (TMU) and VCRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) extended instruction set further enhance the performance of the C28x CPU, thereby speeding up key common algorithms for real-time control systems.

The F2800156QRHBRQ1 supports flash memory up to 256KB (128KW). Up to 36KB (18KW) of on-chip SRAM can also be used to supplement flash memory.
