The LTC2949 Current and Stack Voltage Monitor IC is designed to measure current, voltage, temperature, charge, and energy for electric and hybrid vehicles and other isolated current detection applications. By monitoring the voltage drop and the battery pack voltage on up to two detection resistors simultaneously, the LTC2949 can infer the amount of charge and power flowing into and out of the battery pack. Low-offset Delta-Sigma analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) ensure accurate measurement of voltage and current with small power losses. Continuous integration of current and power ensures lossless tracking of the amount of power and energy transmitted or received by the battery pack.
