The ADP5055ACCZ integrates three high-performance step-down regulators in a 43-pin substrate grid array (LGA) package to meet demanding performance and board space requirements. The device can be directly connected to input voltages up to 18 V, eliminating the need for a pre-regulator. All channels incorporate high-end and low-end power metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) to optimise the efficiency of the solution. Channels 1 and 2 provide programmable output currents of 3.5 A or 7 A, or a single output current of up to 14 A in parallel operation mode. Channel 3 provides 1.5 A or 3 A of programmable output current.
The switching frequency of the ADP5055ACCZ is programmable or synchronised to an external clock. each channel of the ADP5055 incorporates an enable pin (ENx) that allows easy setup of the power-up timing or change of the adjustable undervoltage protection (UVLO) threshold.
The ADP5055ACCZ integrates a high-precision 8-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that enables dynamic voltage regulation (DVS) of the output voltage via a PMBus ®-compatible 2-wire interface.The PMBus interface provides other flexible configurations, such as startup and shutdown timing control, individual forced pulse-width modulation or power-save mode (FPWM or PSM) selections, output discharge switching, and power-good signals.
The ADP5055ACCZ is rated for a junction temperature range of -40°C to +150°C.
